Job Description
My client is the owner of a collection of luxury 5* hotel properties. They are currently seeking an Assistant Spa Manager for their site based in West London. Objective: To support and assist The Spa Manager in motivating and leading a team in the provision of a consistently efficient, professional and courteous service to guests, members and clients in accordance with the image and high standards of a 5* hotel. To actively promote the Spa and its facilities, follow up all opportunities to maximise revenue, control costs and reduce expenses. To manage and supervise staff and the day-to-day operation of Spa in the absence of The Spa Manager.
Main Duties:- Oversee and assist the Spa staff in providing the highest possible standard of service. Take prompt action on any problems or items requiring attention.
- Ensure that all clients and visitors to The Spa are warmly and positively welcomed and that everything is done to ensure their relaxation, comfort and enjoyment.
- In the absence of The Spa Manager, personally handle any complaints, taking appropriate action and ensure that these are documented and followed up.
- Assist in researching treatments and facilities offered by competitors and new products, treatments, etc. that come on the market. Make recommendations for updating and changing The Spa's services and facilities.
- Ensure that cleanliness in The Spa is maintained to the highest standard and that this is regularly checked and maintained by supervision of Spa Cleaners and communication with contract cleaners. Keep records of cleaning carried out.
Candidate Requirements:
- Five GCSE's or equivalent (including Maths and English) are required and further education and CTA and GTT would be an advantage.
- Management position in a large luxury hotel or health club operation. Experience of supervising and leading a team of staff is essential.
- Qualifications and experience in beauty/body treatments and retail sales/stock control would be an advantage.
- Candidates with a Beauty Therapy background would be preferred.
Salary is dependent on experience and will be negotiated at Interview.
