Job Description
My client is a Leading Leisure Operator in the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Duty Manager to manage their large leisure site alongside the team at their club based in Camberley in Surrey.
You will be responsible for:
- The smooth running of the facilities at the centre
- Full recreation management responsibility
- The development, operation, programming and promotion of allocated aspects of the Leisure Centre such as administration, sales and brands, marketing, operations, staffing and technical issues
- Acting as a responsible officer when required by supervising all staff on duty, supervising all activities and ensuring the effective operation and safety of the centre whilst undertaking the leisure supervisor shift role
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will hold appropriate professional qualifications including NPLQ, First Aid, Fitness and Pool Plant
- A leisure degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge of industry legislation
- Ability to set targets, budgets, monitor expenditure and contribute towards profitability
- Will have a knowledge of the health and safety legislation
- Will have a good understanding of the characteristics that customers want from leisure and health and fitness centres
My client is willing to pay up to £19,000 for the right candidate. This salary is dependent on experience and relevant leisure qualifications.
